This Smartboard file makes a great supplement to your unit on apples. Use each of the slides on pages 3-6 to show how the apple tree changes and looks from season to season. These slides also make a great center.
I used the apple graph after a field trip to the apple orchard. I cut up the different kinds of apples, we tasted them, and did the graph as a whole group. Change the names to suit your class.
The last slides are to be printed in landscape and made into a book. Have students color the trees to reflect what they have learned about how apple trees look in each season. (Spring = green leaves & blossoms, Winter = no leaves & snow, etc.)
