These apple themed centers are filled with reading, math, and science activities that would be great for any apple unit, Johnny Appleseed unit, back to school unit, or fall unit. These activities meet many common core standards and can be used in math and literacy centers. This packet has a variety of 12 printable games, worksheets, and activities. Included:
1. Apple Life Cycle Sequencing – students cut out the pictures on the bottom of the page and glue them in order of the life cycle of apples
2. Apple Life Cycle Scrambled Sentences – students will put word cards in order to complete a sentence about how apples grow. (5 sentences)
3. Alphabet Matching File Folder Game (Apple Theme) –students will match uppercase and lowercase letters
4. Color & Color Word Matching – students can match apples with the same color or match colored apples to their matching color word
5. Rhyming Memory – students will practice rhyming skills by flipping over apples and trying to match the pictures that rhyme
6. Apple Theme Beginning Sound Match – students will match the beginning sound pictures on the apple cards to the corresponding apple tree with the correct letter
7. ”The Little Red House” – this is a cute read aloud to read with kids with a surprise at the end – you’ll cut the apple to reveal a star inside
8. 1-1 Correspondence – 2 different games to practice 1-1 correspondence
9. Apple Theme Mclass Math – included are worksheets to practice the biggest #, missing #, and # recognition 1-100
10. Favorite Apple Graphing –after the class tries a red, green, and yellow apple, students will graph which one each student likes the best, then answer the questions about their graph
11. Apple Ten Frames – students can count the apples in the ten frame and then find the apple with the correct number & number word on it
12. Chicka Chicka Math Games – this game works on counting 1-20 and counting by 10s to 100. It has flashcards, a game board, and “special cards” to allow for multiply ways of play.
