This is a craft I do with my kindergarten class in September, when we celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day. The students use their thumbprints to decorate an apple. The apple also contains a poem that reads:
This very special apple
Didn't grow on a tree.
I made it with my fingerprints
So it's a part of me!
The cutting required is great fine motor practice and this makes a cute keepsake to send home to the parents. I usually punch a whole through the top and hang them in my room for the entire month of September.
All templates and step-by-step directions (with pictures) are included. Please message me if you have any questions. Enjoy!
