Conducting apple investigations in your classroom has never been so simple and paper friendly! Instead of having a lot of loose papers for your students to carry around to conduct their experiments on and make predictions with, they'll have this 3 page flipbook to cover it all! This flipbook integrates science, math, writing, and art altogether! This flipbook makes the perfect activity for whole group or if you have stations in your classroom for apple experiments and activities.
-Students will taste test red, yellow, and green apples. Before, they will make predictions of whether they are sour or sweet. After their taste test, they will decide if their predictions were correct. They will also color in their favorite and create a graph based on the class favorites.
-Students will have a piece of an apple, dip in red paint, and stamp their apple on the back. They will then create a picture with their stamp and then create a short story about it.
-Students will measure how tall their apple is with cubes.
-Students will measure how much their apple weighs with a balance scale using different manipulatives.
-Students will make predictions about whether their apple sinks or floats and then conduct their experiment.
-Students will soak their apple in four different liquids and then color what color the apple turned in different liquids (this activity is probably best in a whole group setting).
-The class will create a graph based on their favorite way to eat apples.
Students will love experimenting with apples and learning lots of new things about apples!
