I've created 9 fun apple themed math centers or work station activities. These activities are all designed to be easy for students to do on their own, so you can get on with small group instruction! Each activity has a recording sheet for students to complete so you can assess their learning.
Apple Number Order Puzzles - Students lay the pieces out in number order - 1-10, 11-20 or 10-100 (counting by 10’s) to complete the picture.
Apple Picking Picture Graphing - Students complete the graph on by counting the number of items in the picture and answer the questions on the recording sheets.
Apple Number Puzzles - Students match the number pieces to the piece with the correct amount of items.
Apple Missing Numbers - You can use this as a Write the Room activity or have students use the cards at their table. Select the set of cards you wish to use and have students record the missing number from each card on the corresponding space on the recording sheet on page 23.
Apple Goodies Graphing - Students use a spinner to complete a graph.
Apple Ten Frames - You can use this as a Write the Room activity or just have students use the cards at their table. Students match the letter on the ten frame card to the letter on the recording sheet and write down the number from the ten frame.
Apple Roll & Cover - Give students 1 dice and have them roll it, count the dots and cover the corresponding number on their mat with a token. There is also a gameboard for your higher level students who will use 2 dice and count them together.
Apple Patterns - Students complete the AB, AAB, ABB or ABC patterns.
Apple Pie Shape Search – Place the apple cards in a pocket chart or on a table. Hide the apple pie card behind one of the apple cards. Students must identify the shape correctly in order to peek behind the apple cards to find the apple pie. The student who finds the apple pie is the winner!
