This packet offers your little learners a fun and exciting way to practice numerals to 20. These activities work well with autumn/fall, school, farm, harvest, and Johnny Appleseed themes. This resource provides 5 sets of apple themed puzzles in both full color and white background format. Each set has 20 individual 2 piece puzzles, one for each numeral from 1 to 20. The completed puzzles are approximately 5.75 inches X 3 inches.
This packet contains the following puzzle sets:
• Apple Seed Ten Frames Puzzles (teal background)
• Domino Puzzles (green background)
• Dice Puzzles (orange background)
• Tally Marks Puzzles (yellow background)
• Apple Seed Puzzles (blue background)
• Apple Seed Ten Frames Puzzles (white background)

The full color option has the puzzle graphics on a colored puzzle piece. The white background format is an ink friendly option that offers the same puzzle design with some color graphics. Please note that the white background format is NOT a totally blackline version. The color puzzle graphics are on a white puzzle piece. They can be printed on white paper/cardstock or pastel colored paper/cardstock.
These developmentally appropriate activities are great for differentiation. Just pull the puzzles that best address any learner’s particular needs. There is no stigma for the students about “being behind”, because all the puzzles have the same format.
This versatile resource can be used in a variety of ways to address numerals to 20. The puzzles are great for math centers, fast finisher activities, and take home packets. They can be used as individual, group, or partner activities.

Print, laminate, and cut out the puzzle pieces. You may prefer to print the pieces on cardstock for durability. Store the pieces in your choice of zip top storage bags, envelopes, or zippered supply pouches. You can put adhesive magnet circles on the back of the pieces and use a dollar store cookie sheet to make a magnetic learning activity. The puzzle pieces may also be used in a sensory bin.
