A great back-to-school class project for your bulletin board! This is a fun, easy way for your class to show off the books they've read. Students choose and read books individually, then each completes an apple-shaped reading response sheet. These make a great bulletin board, wall, or hallway display. You can also gather each student's reading response forms into a book. A cover is included ("I read _____ books!") for your students to color and write how many books they read.
This product includes:
-Apple-shaped book cover
-10 apple-shaped reading response forms:
1) Name, book, author
2) Draw your favorite part
3) Write your favorite part
4) Moral of the story
5) Characters, setting, favorite part
6) Beginning, middle, end
7) Draw something you learned
8) Write what you learned
9) Write three facts you learned
10) Main topic and details
You decide which type of reading response form you want to use--all the same, one for fiction and one for nonfiction, or multiple forms depending on each student's reading and writing level. This activity lends itself very easily to differentiated instruction within one grade, multi-age classrooms, homeschooling families, and gifted and talented classrooms. This can be a one-time activity (each child reads one book and fills out one form), or an ongoing, fun alternative to book reports.
