A Speech and Language Book Companion:
WH Questions, sequencing, articulation practice for initial, medial, and final k, g, f, s, r, and l
You receive an interactive language companion to go with the book “Apple Trouble.” Used in mixed speech and language groups by answering simple “wh” questions. Increase difficulty by asking orally and simplify questions by providing a visual of two choices on the card. Use the hedgehog mat for students to put items in order that they occur on the hedgehog’s back. Packet also includes articulation mats. These mats can be printed out in black and white to be colored in, or make small “apples” out of Play-doh and smash them on a laminated mat as you practice saying the correct sound in that mat. Mats can also be used as bingo mats. Take turns rolling a dice and cover that many spaces with a marker. The first student to cover all the pictures on their mat wins. Ideas are endless.
Students will be working on answering “wh” questions (CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.K.1.D Understand and use question words) and vocabulary (CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.K.1.B Use frequently occurring nouns and verbs.)
