A fun and active way for students to practice addends and math facts to 10, this set of 36 cards uses the popular 'roam the room' concept and reinforces CCSS Operations and Algebraic Thinking.
Three recording sheets are included, corresponding to the three different card sets. Answer keys are also included.
Each card uses dice to represent numerals. Students will need to identify the numerals in order to write a corresponding equation on their recording sheet, and work out the correct answer. For example, card B may have a die with three apples on one side and a die with one apple on the other. Students will need to interpret this as 3 + 1 = 4 and record their answer in the correct box on their answer sheet.
To use, print, laminate and cut out the cards. Make copies of the recording sheets. Place the cards around the room, or in a center. Give each student a recording sheet, a pencil and a clipboard. When they find a card, they will need to record the correct equation and answer on their recording sheet.
