Apples & Bananas is an addition game. Included in this file are rules, a plate, apple cards, banana cards, and a recording sheet.
Cut out the apples and bananas cards and plate if you do not have one. My plate has 3 parts to it to show part+part=whole.
According to my rules, students mix up the apple and banana cards in a bag/box/bin (whatever you have in your classroom). Each student picks out a few cards. Students combine their apples and then combine their bananas. They count each. They then add the apples + the bananas = a sum of fruit.
Have students record their findings on the included recording sheet. You can either laminate the recording sheet and have students write on it with Expo markers or print out 1 for each student.
As always, I recommend laminating everything!
This is a great for centers but can be used individually! Enjoy!!
