This is an easy to make and use game that helps your kiddos identify beginning sounds.
All you need to do is copy onto cardstock and laminate. Cut out the cards. Then tape the cover page onto a gift bag or bin. You are ready to go!
You can use this for small group, centers, RTI, Intervention, or 1-on-1 work! It is super easy to play!
DIRECTIONS! Have a student pick a card out of the bag or bin.
Have the student identify the beginning sound of the object on the apple. If he/she gets it right, he gets to keep the card. If he/she doesn’t know the word, have a friend help them sound it out!
Continue with each student until a EATEN APPLE or WORM card is drawn.
If an EATEN APPLE card is drawn, the student who drew the card must put all of their cards back into the bag. If a WORM card is drawn, 2 cards must be returned!
Continue playing! The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner!
