This math game packet includes 2-sided printable templates for a memorization matching game. Students must not only be able to remember their quick addition, but also remember where the corresponding answer is! Allow students to match 4+4 to 8 as well as 4+4 to 6+2 etc., for even more interesting game play. Apples Matching is a new spin on a classic memorization game.
Print playing card pages double-sided and cut cells into individual cards. (Use card stock or laminate for longer lasting cards.) Place cards face down (apple side up) and allow students to take turns flipping two cards at a time. The object is to find two cards that equal the same value. If the student completes this task, then the two cards are placed aside. If the student does not have a match, the cards are turned back over in the same spot, so the student can try to memorize the locations of cards. Continue taking turns until all of the cards have been matched.
