“All About Apples” Informational Slideshow with Photographs (14 Slides)

This 14 slide presentation includes many beautiful photographs that illustrate important concepts about apples. You can use this slideshow as you would a non-fiction book. Read it to your class to build up their knowledge base to make your other activities more meaningful. Younger children may need to view this presentation in multiple sittings. The slideshow is duplicated in PDF form for those who do not have access to PowerPoint for viewing.

PDF File (Apples Unit)

This set includes vocabulary posters, word wall cards, anchor chart headings, apple taste test graphing materials, an apple observation sheet, labeling and life cycle activities, differentiated reading passages, an original poem, and two different crown templates.

Two of these activities require the use of apples for tasting and observing. I have included a parent letter that you can send home requesting apple donations.
