This math activity is perfect for your youngest mathematicians. Your students will focus on counting sets of apples and identifying number words. Numbers 1-20 are the sets included. Two different activities are included with this single download. All you need are some adorable apple erasers, that you can usually find at "The Dollar Spot" in the Fall.
The first activity is "Apples on the Tree". Students will read the card, sentence, and number word to find out how many apples to put on the tens frame, and then to transfer to the apple tree. Twenty different cards are included for this activity.
The second activity is "Spin and Count". Included you will find four adorable spinners...two with lower numbers, and two with higher numbers. Each set has a sequential spinner and a non-sequential spinner. You can choose which you would like your students to practice, depending on their abilities. Students will use a paperclip and pencil to spin the spinner. The number landed on will be identified. Then your students will use the apple erasers, count them out onto the tens frames on the card, and then they can be transferred to the apple tree.
Either way you choose to play, your budding mathematicians will love this seasonal and festive activity.
