This PowerPoint presentation consists of ten questions that involve setting up and solving proportions with the last slide being the answer key. These slides could be used as a group review activity by dividing a class into, say, groups of three if the class consists of 30 students. Each group is given one of the problems (slides) printed out and works the problem on the reverse side of the printout as the teacher facilitates about the room. Then, each group can present the solution to the problem on the board or otherwise in front of the class as that particular slide is available for all of the students to see the original problem. In addition, the teacher could focus in on key words and other strategies used for problem solving. Alternatively, slides 2-11 could be printed as a handout. Then, these problems would serve as a ten-question class assignment or assessment. Please be sure to check out the free preview. Thank you for your interest in this PowerPoint by Nathan Haude!
