This is a complete math curriculum for the non-college bound high school student who needs to develop problem solving skills using basic arithmetic, measurement, geometry, and simple algebra. It is expected that students will write out their work thoroughly, but that they will use calculators, not written arithmetic, for numerical calculations. Almost all the problems are "word problems" in a real world, applied context. Each chapter also includes one or more "math labs" where students work in groups to solve hands-on problems. Note: some questions (but not many) refer to the CORD Applied Math books for which these were supplemental materials, and thus can't be used. However, the materials are completely mine for me to give away, as explained in the cover letter. Contact me if you want to know more about any aspect of these materials.
