Product Description
In my class, I use the two axis, four quadrant, political spectrum to get students to understand political ideology. This activity has students use websites, including govtrack.us and ballotpedia.com, to analyze specific positions of two of their representatives, citing evidence, and plotting those positions on the spectrum. My students found it to be engaging and authentic Students will be applying what they have learned about the political spectrum, so they do need that knowledge before they can be successful with this activity.
