As a school-based clinician, I always gather my students from their individual classrooms for their scheduled sessions; however, there are always those students who need a 'heads-up' reminder that I will be coming to their rooms at their scheduled time. This is often the case with some of my students with autism--despite classroom schedules, there can be confusion and protest.
I have found that by distributing these appointment cards either a couple days in advance, or even the morning of our appointment, my students have a tangible reminder that I will be coming to their rooms around a certain time [I always enter 'ish' for time--ex: 11:00-ish]. My students like to hold onto the card, then hand it to me when it's time for speech therapy!
Appointment cards come with 7 different images [as well as one card without, so you can always add your own sticker--or leave it as is].
