This document includes two lessons with interactive activities, as well as three reproducible worksheets to practice appositive phrases (two worksheets for in-class, and one worksheet for homework). The first uses the clip at the end of Shrek 2 called "Far Far Away Idol" (a parody of American Idol).
Of course, your students will love watching a couple minutes of Shrek and they will be much more engaged in practicing appositives than if they were completing workbook pages! The second lesson is an activity to practice appositives further, and it includes a scenario about a "Starburst thief" where students are set up with different jobs and the class has to guess the thief by using appositive phrases.
This document is in pdf format, but email me after purchasing, and I will send it in Word if you would like to edit it.
