This activity contains 38 picture card riddles to help students with developmental apraxia of speech learn to motor plan for multisyllabic word productions. First, the student produces two words individually. These first two pictures (on the card) are stand-alone words. Then the student combines the two words to create a new compound word or extended multisyllabic word (e.g., butter+fly=butterfly) and solve the "riddle." Two card options are provided: one set with printed words and one set without (to increase the level of difficulty and fun for older students). The cards can also be used to teach compound words and promote overall vocabulary development in a fun way!
