100 Cards with 1000 Pictures
Each card has 10 pictures and each full page has 40 pictures. This portable tool allows for many creative uses. Apraxia Mini Cards may be small in size but packs a powerful punch in creativity. You can cut the cards up and place them on a ring or leave the page whole. The cards can be used in the therapy setting or in the classroom setting. They can always be with you for a fast drill, quick reminder or expansion tool.
Apraxia of speech is a motor planning disorder. Treatment for apraxia should involve working on planning, sequencing and coordinating the lips, jaw and tongue during speech production. Working on combinations of consonants (C) and vowels (V) in sequence can be beneficial. Targeting and practicing small sound segments/syllable shapes to gain the skills to move to larger sound segments/syllable shapes. The syllable shapes targeted within this product are: CV (consonant + vowel), VC (vowel + consonant), CVC, CVCV, CVCVC, CVCVCV and CVCVCVC.
Recommended set up: Print the cards in color and laminate. Cut them out and punch a hole in the top left corner. Store on a ring for easy organization.
The variability, flexibility and size of the product allow for many uses.
*Take into the classroom and use as a backup to the lesson occurring in class.
*Quick fire drills – use a dry erase marker to check words off as you go.
*Pick a word and use it in a phrase/sentence or repeat word 2-3 times.
*Print a copy in black and white and do a self-assessment check. Have them circle the words they feel they did correctly on the laminated ones and you track on the black and white ones.
*Print in black and white and color them as you say them.
*Cut out each individual symbol and use in various crafts or select only the individual needs to work on
*Print in black and white and send home for homework.
