This set contains 20 consonants and 10 vowels (5 long, 5 short) to arrange into CV, VC, and CVC combinations to help children with apraxia of speech and/or severe phonological delays. Consonants that are utilized in the initial position (of words) only are indicated by a star in the top, left corner. Sounds utilized in both the initial and final positions are printed twice for work at the CVC level. Placement of production (e.g., bilabial, interdental, alveolar, etc.) is also indicated at the bottom of each consonant card to help the therapist track positions and transitions with which the student has difficulty. I hope you find this set helpful with your speech sound delayed children! This is also a wonderful set to print off, glue to cardstock/construction paper, and send home for student-parent practice. Teachers and therapists alike can also use this set to teach basic letter-sound relationships and begin blending and decoding real and nonsense CV, VC, and CVC word forms.
