A no-prep must have for working on multi-syllabic words in speech therapy.
Each wheel on the page has a word and a picture representing various sound segments (C=Consonant and V=Vowel):
Pgs. 3-4 CV
Pgs. 5-6 VC
Pgs. 7-14 CVC
Pgs. 15-22 CVCV
Pgs. 23-26 CVCVC
Use the Word Wheels in therapy in a variety of ways:
*Print one for you and one for student and you both collect data and compare
*Print and give has homework to the student. The student can fill in each circle every time they say the word or they can fill in each circle they say accurately and use that as self-evaluation.
*Use in the classroom as a quick data collection tool
*Use at the word level for drill or have them use the word in a sentence
Data can be collected at the word level and also at the phrase and sentence level. Have the student generate a describer about the picture to create a phrase or have the student use the word in a sentence. Once the student creates the phrase or sentence, collect data on accuracy.
