Keep your students actively writing each day in the month of April (2016) with these unique writing prompts!
This package includes writing prompts for the month of April as well as tips on how to use calendar writing and a grading rubric. Not to mention, it is all EDITABLE!
Please read through all prompts before printing away to be aware of what students will be expected to write about. You may want to make changes due to your classroom needs, cultures, writing abilities, etc. Also, some days the students will get the most out of their writing if YOU come prepared and are aware of what is on the writing agenda for that day. For instance, on April 28th students are writing a card to thank someone in the building. It may be extra special if you provide the students with blank cards they can write in to make it extra special. Don't have cards available? Pull out some construction paper or color paper. This way students know that their writing is important and they will value it more - and so will the person receiving the kind note!
This download is in PowerPoint format so that you can easily edit dates/prompts if needed. For this particular calendar, I edited a calendar in case anyone has a Spring Break still coming up. Choose between 2 styles of calendars!
*Calendars should NOT be edited for future months!!!!
Fonts used include KG fonts as well as the font "Daydreamer" on dafonts.com. If they do not transfer over when you download, you will have to download them yourself or change them to fonts of your liking.
Please leave feedback! I love to hear what works and what can be changed! :) Thank you, friends!
