Description
These Science and Social Studies activities make those hands-on experiences much easier to organize, and keep the fun happening for your little learners!
Why use Science and Social Studies Activities for April? We spend so much time on reading, writing, and math, there’s barely time left for the FUN subjects of science and social studies. These activities are fun, hands-on, and require minimal prep. Most require little or no materials, just print and go!
How it works: This resource has printables to accompany 3 Science lessons and 2 Social Studies activities, each with a seasonal theme. Most of the work and organization is done for you! There are reading activities with thinking questions, hands-on experiments, sorting, mapping, and partner activities, all designed to be easy on the teacher and engaging for the students.
What’s included: I developed these activities to make it easier to squeeze these important subjects into my second-grade classroom. April brings Easter, spring, Earth Day, and the start of baseball season. These activities practice these important skills: reading nonfiction text, Science Process skills: predicting, categorizing, observing, and reading maps.
