April Fools Day Reading Directions Activity: Prank Your Students!
Do you want to get your students on April Fool's Day? Well, this reading directions activity is a sure fire way to do it! Students are required to "read all directions before doing any problem" which rarely happens. Have fun watching your students solve easy math problems, draw various shapes on their papers, clap their hands, and even get up from their seats and shout out a President's name! Very few students catch on right away. I always tell the class that some will finish faster than others, but this is a following directions test that will show me how well you read directions and follow them. I also tell the students that they can not talk during the test, unless the directions tell them too. That will eliminate someone from spilling the secret.
Have fun with this one!
