April Fools Day DIFFERENTIATED close reading PRANK for 3rd-5th graders!
Trick your students with a close reading passage that says there is a new discovery that Earth is flat, not round.
This freebie includes one article. It is written at two levels for easy differentiation. One is written at a Lexile level of 720L. The other is written at a Lexile level of 940L. You can choose the level you feel is most appropriate for your students.
Both levels seamlessly use the same close reading and text dependent response pages (two pages of questions). The questions included are perfectly aligned to the reading standards. While being pranked, the students will still be learning!
DIGITAL DISTANCE LEARNING OPTION INCLUDED
In addition to the traditional printable pack, the activities in this download can also be assigned via Google slides, which makes it very versatile for digital distance learning.
