For Dr. Seuss' birthday I gave my sweeties his name and had them build as many words as they could using the letters. Little did I know that this would be something they would absolutely LOVE. It kept them busy for THREE DAYS. Yes, you read that right! They would finish their work and run straight back to their "word scramble," as we called it. So, I decided to make more. These are great for early finishers and even your little learners who have difficulty building words. You can cut the words apart into letter tiles so the kids can move them around to build new words. This packet includes word scrambles for National Animal Cracker Day, Easter, Thank Your School Librarian Day, and National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day! Your kids are going to love it! Make it a contest and have your kids keep their letters and list in an envelope all week so they can keep up with them. Then, award a prize to the kid who finds the most. *Also, this is great for teaching spelling as the kids will grab dictionaries to see if they can words that match the letters they have! How great is that! They actually WANT to use the dictionary!
