April Homework for Early Readers No Prep
Finding the BEST homework for EARLY READERS can be a challenge. I want it to be meaningful as well as review the class lessons. I’ve found a variety of homework papers that focus on phonic skills or letter recognition, but I want my students to actually practice READING at home.
To achieve this goal, I’ve created monthly homework packets for EARLY READERS! My newest packet is APRIL HOMEWORK NO PREP! Finally, I have instant READING HOMEWORK with comprehension questions that pertain to activities in April! At the top of each paper is a place for a parent’s signature and a box to write the number of times the child reads with/to the adult. The pictures are large and child-like making them fun to color.
The content and format varies to provide NOVELTY and encourage THINKING! April is filled with Butterflies, Caterpillars, Frogs, and Earth Day. There are 70 pages of READY to SEND HOME homework that will save you hours of prep time! Math is included too!
These pages are also perfect for “morning work” if you prefer. Your students complete the pages in class and take them home to READ to mom or dad. Mom and dad send them back with a signature and the number of times read. Either way, children are reading and writing!
I am always thrilled to receive feedback! Last month, a teacher left me the following comment: On March 2, 2016, Evonne N. said:
“I have all the other months and this one just like all the others is amazing. I have found so many ways to use these packets both in my classroom and as homework. I love the ideas included in this packet. Thank you for another amazing addition to my classroom.”
Thank you Evonne! You made my day!
There are 70 pages.
