This is something new that I wanted to try in my classroom. April is a crazy month and my kiddos are finally becoming more independent. I wanted to see how they would do with ‘warm-up’ work that could be finished independently while I was busy testing other kiddos or finishing up ‘teacher add-on’ responsibilities. I piloted it for the first week of April and….they loved it! They did great and were so proud that they could finish work by themselves…which made me one happy teacher! This will hopefully become a staple in our classroom. Best part is that it could be done whole group, small group, at centers, independently and/or as homework!
