Games include the following:
Squashed (Teen Number Recognition)- Students pull base ten cards out of a bag and count the teen number. Don't get SQUASHED though or you will lose all of your cards!
Pond Subtraction- A count the room activity where students subtract pictures and record their answers.
Petal Picking (Subtraction)- Play dough and math? You bet! Students use play dough to "pick" flower petals and solve subtraction problems.
Spring Time Story Boards (Addition)- Students use story boards, bunny cut outs, and equation problems to orally create story problems with their partners.
Blooming Numbers (Addition)- A roll & cover dice activity.
Hop To It Concentration (Making 10)- A concentration game where the objective is to make combinations of 10.
The Missing Carrot (Addends)- Students solve the missing addends with these cute carrot equations.
Number Crunch (Combinations of 5-10)- Students use manipulates and building mats to create combinations of the numbers 5-10.
