I have created 8 games that align to the First Grade Common Core Language Arts Standards. They would fit perfectly into stations or centers (or could be used as activities to teach with)! Each game has the standard listed as well as directions and possible variations plus a recording sheet. A few of the games have additional worksheets/cards for enrichment.
The games include:
*Rainy A Sort-students will sort long and short a words
*Inflected Ending sorting-there are 2 versions of this. 1-students will sort whether an "extra letter" was added before adding -ing or -ed; the second one includes the above PLUS whether or not the silent -e- was omitted before adding -ing.
*Question/Answer Match-students will match the question to the answer-that is written in a complete sentence. There are 3 different recording sheets to use for this, depending on the outcome you'd like. 1-writing the answers that matched the questions; 2-writing the answers OR the questions that matched; 3-writing your own complete sentence answer
*Noun/Adjective Comprehension-students will circle adjectives and draw a picture to match the sentence
*Past/Present/Future Verb sort-students will sort sentences that are written in the past, present or future (today, tomorrow, yesterday). 2 different recording sheets are available for this as well; 1-Writing the sentences that were sorted; 2-picking their own verb and writing a sentence with it for each-today, tomorrow and yesterday
*Label Me-2 pictures with lines for students to label using an adjective and noun; There are ones with a word bank and another without.
All games have a April/rain theme.
I also have April Showers Common Core Math games!
