Product Description
This is a great way to teach and reinforce base ten concepts and operations in algebraic thinking. You will provide each student with a blank hundreds board. You will be the only person looking at the Legend. When you are asking students to color a square according to the legend, you will give clues as to what the number is, for example you might say: Color the square blue that has a single digit number that falls between 4 and 6. Or: Color the square blue that has a number that is ten more than 5. Or: 10 less than 25. Or: Color the square black that has a number that is 4 in the tens place and a 7 in the ones place. Or: Color the square black that has the sum of 10+10+10. The possibilities are nearly limitless. Call out the clues out of order to keep your students curious. What a surprise when the students begin to see a picture on their hundreds boards! So Easy and So Fun! Your students won't even realize they are learning!
