Technology makes learning more fun! So when needing some fraction fun, and multiplication practice, use this power point bundle. It includes the two step math word problem game/activity in April Showers and the multiplication practice in May Flowers.
Immediately after an answer is selected, the game indicates if that answer is correct or incorrect.
April Showers…May Flowers can be used as an interactive white board activity, in centers, or for individual students. Use it over and over! There are 20 questions.

Game/Activity Instructions:
1. Open April Showers…May Flowers in PowerPoint. Select the first slide. Click on “Slide Show,” and then click on “From Current Slide.”
2. Click on the “Click here to begin” button. The rain drops, and numbers corresponding to the questions, will appear.
3. Click on a “rain drop” on the “April Sowers…” board. It will take you to a question.
4. An answer sheet is provided. The teacher can run PowerPoint without selecting answers as students write their answers on the answer sheet. (This is a creative way to give a test). Or, students can run the activity and select the answers.
5. Click on an answer to the question. If a correct answer is selected, the word “Correct” will appear. If an incorrect answer is selected, the word “Incorrect” will appear.
7. After the number 20 rain drop is selected, a link will appear. This link will take you to the …May Flowers section of the bundle. You may stop the activity after answering question 20, or you may continue on to …May Flowers.
8. If you want to use only the …May Flowers section, select the …May Flowers slide (slide number 22) in PowerPoint after step 1 above.
9. Click on a seed in the grass on the “…May Flowers” board. It will take you to a question.
10. (See number 4 above) Click on an answer to the question. If you choose the correct answer, the word “Correct” will appear. If you choose an incorrect answer, the word “Incorrect” will appear.
12. After all “seeds” are selected, the game is over.
