This is a set of 21 double-sided story starter cards, journal covers, and blank journal pages for the month of April.
These are absolutely adorable and provide such a fun, creative outlet in your writing center. You can laminate them, glue them onto colorful (or plain!) popsicle sticks and pop them into a bucket for some FUN writing prompt practice.
Each card has an illustrated front and a simple prompt on the back. The cards are numbered for easy matching. Depending on ability, students can either respond only to the picture prompt or follow the written prompt as well.
I personally use these with a bound writing journal, but I've also included differentiated, cute March themed papers to use with these cards as well. Perhaps they would be good for a final draft!
April topics include, Earth Day, Laughs (April Fool's Day), Spring animals, Spring Activities (picnics, swings, puddles, etc.) and more!
This also contains my April Journal Prompt Pages as a sample. I hope you enjoy them and consider using other monthly journal prompts in your writing center as well.
