Writing Prompts April (sentence starters) ---
Picture prompts for writing provides students with the topic to write about. Picture prompts also provide students with other details to include in their writing. This packet contains 30 April pictures including rabbits, chicks, baskets, eggs, hunting eggs, caterpillars, butterflies, grasshoppers, bees, ladybugs, flies, flowers, and rain. Each page includes space for the student’s name and date. The black and white picture is at the top half of the page. The bottom half of the page contains dotted manuscript lines for students to use for writing about the picture. The writing space has a beginning sentence to help the students begin a story/sentence about each picture. Writing pages may be used for narrative, informational, or opinion writings. Picture prompts could be placed in a writing center or literacy center for students to choose a picture to write about. I hope your students enjoy writing about each picture included and develop a love for writing.
