Welcome to the aquarium! Students always look forward to their field trip to the aquarium which can be a day full of wonder and amazement as they see things they’ve never seen before! It is my joy to have created this packet to use on that special day. Your students will love using this before, during and after their aquarium visit.
The packet includes:
My Aquarium Riddles Scavenger Hunt (best done in small groups with a teacher reader)
Five Creature Feature Pages (Students will answer questions and write a fact about common aquarium creatures (such as a shark) and color the creature)
A Coloring Scavenger Hunt (for primary grades and even tag-along siblings on the trip) *The parents will love this and think you’re the best teacher ever!
A Special Creatures Page (for specific creatures you want them to pay close attention to- which you may have been studying in your classroom through literature or habitats)
My Aquarium Guide Book (a coloring booklet for researching specific creatures in specific oceans and freshwater environments) *This works best as a before trip activity.
My Trip Scrapbook Page (Student page for reflection after the trip)
Our Class Trip to the Aquarium Parent Newsletter (Partly Pre-written newsletter for you to send to parents-includes a spot for a class picture) *TO use this, hand write your message in the blank boxes specific to your class trip and tape a print of your class at the aquarium in the picture box, then copy!) This is super cute and your class parents will love it!
