PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Aquarium Math

This Smart Board lesson has fifteen frames and twenty questions for students in grade 3 for the beginning of the school year or second graders towards the end of the year. Each page has one of my original photographs from the Texas State Aquarium including a poison dart frog, piranha, sea turtles, lion fish, alligators, ibis, lobster, eel, sting ray, dolphins, an owl, and jellyfish. Not only is this a way to build student recognition of creatures around the Gulf of Mexico but the questions are open ended and have more than one correct response. Math processes include writing story problems, creating addition story problems, patterns, explaining why answers are accurate or not, and subtraction story problems.
