Product Description
This is one of the first activities of the year in my World History class. In this activity, students participate in a mock archaeological dig using modern objects supposedly left behind by an extinct civilization. While completely fictional, this activity helps students understand the work of archaeologists in discovering the ancient civilizations we will soon be learning about.

This activity includes:
-instruction handout
-summary chart
-teacher instructions
-extension activity project choice board

It does not include the objects. You have to be creative and use your own!

I use the activity along with The Nacimera: A Lesson on Remaining Objective When Learning About Other Cultures.

These products are included in my money saving
Ancient World Mega Bundle Set #1 and World History Mega Bundle***
.
