Product Description
In this unit, your child will investigate archeology and the ways historians learn about the past when there are no written records. Your child will explore the careers of an Archeologist, the techniques used, and read a case study from a real dig. To further explore this concept, your child will engage in activities such as the preparation and execution of his/her own backyard dig, the creation of strata bottles, assembly of artifacts, and the exploration of family waste to determine what he or she can learn from the culture of the people studied. This unit is designed to last one week, depending on how often you teach history.
