This activity gives students the opportunity to practice finding the measures of arcs, inscribed angles, angles inside circles, and angles exterior to circles created by secants/tangents. There are 3 different figures for students to work with, as well as an answer sheet on which they can record their answers. This activity was designed to fill a 50 minute class period.
Recommended Strategy: Print a class set of the 3 figures and a copy of the answer sheet for each student. Put the 3 figures in plastic sheet protectors and allow students to draw on the figures with dry erase markers. The dry erase markers can be easily erased so that the figures can be re-used in multiple class periods. I also recommend copying each figure on a different color paper to allow for easy visual identification of student progress and to give students an easy way to identify the 3 figures.
