The unit also includes the penguin which is not an arctic animal but usually an animal we usually teach around the same time so it is included in this unit.

You have several cover options so you can choose how you want to integrate the penguin into your study on cold weather animals.

Each report includes:

• close reading passage
• cover page (to glue craft onto if you choose to assemble into a book)
• several graphic organizers
• writing page options
• craft
• color photo of a sample project to show kids
• title page for each animal where you can put craft or just color

Just select which pages you want to use during instruction, organize them into your book, throw them into the copy machine, and allow it to staple them together.

I would not suggest using all the pages but would suggest making them your own with wiggly eyes, pipe cleaners, etc.
