To use this resource students must have access to a CBC online article “Sir John Franklin’s long-lost HMS Terror believed found” by Garrett Hinchey (13 September 2016). Due to copyright reasons I cannot include the article in my resource, however you as a teacher may allow students access online or make paper copies for use in the classroom. Information on how to access the article is included in the teacher guide.
The resource includes background information on Franklin, three illustrations, 9 comprehension questions based on the article, and an opinion question at the bottom of page 2. An answer key is included as well.
