A week long (or more or less) of literacy activities for your learners to learn about Arctic Polar Animals and to practice and improve their reading and writing skills while doing so. These activities can be done with any information books or texts about arctic animals.

graphic organizers. (Included in the lesson plans are activities for reading with a purpose, participating in discussions, asking and answering questions, writing informational text, writing with using information from provided sources to answer a question, etc.)
A cut, glue and label activity for identifying arctic animals
Puppets and a song (to the tune of "Where is Thumbkin?"
A cut and glue activity in which students choose and label Arctic animals
A book to make which can be illustrated with the cut out animals or with drawings
(To assemble the book, you will need to copy the inside page twice, 2 sided and fold inside the cover.)
