These easy to prep and print Polar Animal Research Booklets are perfect for whole class, small group, or individual research. I created this pack of sixteen different polar animal research booklets to give my students extra practice researching polar animals independently. Just print the pages you like back to back, fold, and staple. Each animal booklet has a similar research format that will be familiar to your students as they complete each animal. Students can use nonfiction books, the internet, or nonfiction reading passages you give them to research and complete the information in these booklets. I have my students complete their research booklets independently during our writing choice rotation while I teach reading groups. You can assign your students different animals or assign one animal at a time to the entire class. Students could also work in pairs or groups and present their findings to the class.
These research booklets can be used in any way that works for you and your students. Also included is a Nonfiction Text Features Investigation that you can have your students use with any nonfiction book that includes text features.
***Please Note: This pack does not contain reading passages. Students research the information for these booklets online or in nonfiction books or reading passages that you give them. I have included links to student-friendly research websites that my students use to find their information.
Each Booklet Contains The Following Sections:
Cover for a Drawing of the Animal in Its Habitat
Where the Animal Lives
Animals' Life Cycle
What the Animal Eats
