“Are Pirates Polite” (Corinne Demas & Artemis Roehrig) is not included. The book is not necessary for this packet; however, the comprehension questions require the book. I am in no way affiliated with “Are Pirates Polite”, Scholastic, or the authors.

Included:
“Wh” questions to aid with the comprehension of the story
Open-ended game. Includes color and blackline version and instructions.
What Should You Do? The student reads each statement and is provided with a choice of 2 answers. He determines which is the more socially acceptable answer and fills in the bubble. Can be taken home for homework to review with a helper.
Regular past tense. The student determines which sentence uses the correct regular past verb and colors or daubs the circle corresponding with the correct sentence. Can be taken home for homework to review with a helper.
Irregular past tense. The student determines which sentence uses the correct irregular past verb and colors or daubs the circle corresponding with the correct sentence. Can be taken home for homework to review with a helper.
Pronouns (he, she). The student determines which sentence uses the correct pronoun and colors or daubs the circle corresponding with the correct sentence. Can be taken home for homework to review with a helper.
Homework. Includes a page for early developing sounds /p,b,m,n,d,t,k,g,f/, 1 page for later developing sounds /l,v, ∫,t∫r,s, /, and 1 page for blends (l-, r-, s-). The student circles or colors which pictures have his sound in them and take home to practice for homework.
