This lesson can be used as independent work or as a whole class lesson. The lesson takes students step-by-step through the process of song analysis and asks them to make decisions about what things mean in the song. Students are then asked to pull it all together and put their findings into a well-developed paragraph. This is the perfect lesson to take a break from a unit and have fun while still hitting some of the most tested standards. It is also a great activity for a substitute to do with your class.
My lessons are always student tested before posting and this one was a huge success in my classroom.
