This is a simple sorting activity to engage student in thinking about how to behave in the classroom...at school...and at home.
First...I read the book, "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" by Carol McCloud. It's a wonderful book about making others feel good and making good choices.
This activity is a cut and paste activity that can be done in small groups or individually.
* First...I pass out a large piece of construction paper.
* The students glue on one side of the paper the "Bucket Dipper".
* Then glue on the other side the "Bucket Filler".
* Next, read each card and glue it on the correct side.
This is an excellent activity for students to discuss appropriate kind behaviors. It also helps in creating a pleasant warm classroom environment.
I hope this a useful tool in your classroom.
Thanks and God Bless,
