This game includes two differentiated games (easier and difficult) for students to demonstrate an understanding of division using the area model. Two game boards, two sets of game cards, two answer keys, and answer sheets are included. Students show the area model of division problems with up to four digit dividends and two digit divisors.
Teacher tip: Make enough copies for students to play in partners. Students can check one another's work and the game board has answers on it for self-checking. You may also provide students with the answer key if you choose. I made each level game on a different color piece of paper and laminated them to keep for future use.
To play: Students place cards face down and one student chooses a card. Both students solve the problem. If the student that chose the card gets the answer correct, he/she may put their color chip on top of the answer. Players take turns. When the time is up, the student with the most answers covered wins.
