This Google Slides Activity includes 12 unique slides that help students practice making area models to show factor pairs and to determine the greatest common factor (GCF) of 2 numbers.
Students will need basic understanding of how to pair up 2 numbers to make a factor pair, and are given a blank table with the correct number of spots to list the factor pairs for the numbers presented to them.
The slides on this activity are able to be duplicated to create even more slides to practice factors and GCF if a teacher wishes to extend the activity.
An easy way to differentiate or modify this activity would be to make some slides optional or extra credit. Teachers could also ask their students to complete some of the 12 slides, not all, providing a choice for which problems they solve.
There is no prep required other than saving the activity to your Google Drive and assigning it via Google Classroom or providing your students with a link to the activity.
